David Hill
United Kingdom
Author

Before becoming a full time writer David Hill was the head of an English Department and was a teacher for fifteen years.

He now contributes articles to magazines and is a fantasy cosultant. A large part of his time is spent in writing poetry and visiting schools where he gives poetry and short story readings as well as running workshops.

Dragonquest is his first book for children and it draws its inspiration from his teaching days when during the lunch hours he ran a Dungeons and Dragons club to get more children to use the school library!

When he is not writing he spends his time frog watching, bird watching feeding two pet hens and generally finding excuses not to write!

His hobbies include collecting books on fantasy, folklore and mythology; collecting American and Canadian comics; listening to synthesizer music and writing. The majority of his poetry revolves around nature and his country childhood.
